Welcome to Grande Prairie’s hottest new commercial area. While it’s not been new for a while now the area now known at Trader Ridge is starting to see development on the Northside of the city. Still…even as our new Quick Lane is open and numerous other commercial buildings take shape we still hear the same question…”Where is Trader Ridge?”.
If you’ve been looking for information on the location of Trader Ridge in Grande Praire, look no further. Development can be found on the corner of 132 Avenue and 100 Street and currently features steady construction of new buildings but is already home to businesses like the New Horizon Co-op grocery store, gas bar, car wash and liquor store. Windsor Ford also opened the country’s largest Ford dealership on the north end of Trader Ridge back in April of 2019 and is currently our home.
Currently, there isn’t a lot opened on the Northside of Grande Prairie in Trader Ridge but businesses are starting to come including Popeyes, Starbucks and much more!
The coming months and in the next few years should see plenty of development in Grande Prairie’s north side. Places like Windsor and COOP got things started but there is plenty to follow. The following below is from the developers of the area (Cushman And Wakefield).
2020 should see a steady influx of new businesses being opened in Trader Ridge, one of the most anticpated openings will come when Popeyes Grande Prairie opens it’s doors with it’s first franchise location in the city. From even talking to our staff at our Quick Lane there is big excitment for this chain to be right next door to our location.
Another one we’re looking forward to seeing is a new Starbucks on the north side of Grande Prairie. Both Popeyes and Starbucks should be opening this spring along with a new Bone & Biscuit, Dental Office and Panago Pizza.
The Northside has desperately been waiting for more franchisees to open and Trader Ridge is expected to help.
As you can probably see…there is lots to be excited about! Our Quick Lane is excited to be apart of this beautiful (and buzzing) community and we fully expect it to change Grande Prairie’s Northside!
