There are plenty of things that you can do to make the most of your time…especially in Grande Prairie. Here are 5 places to visit that will help you kill some time while you wait for our automotive experts to finish with your oil change.
Prairie Mall Shopping Centre is the perfect place to go if you want to do some shopping or window shopping while you wait. With over 100 stores, there are plenty of options to keep you busy. Best of all, it’s just down the street from our Quick Lane Grande Prairie North location meaning you can likely walk there (if you feel up to it) or take our shuttle service.
The Prairie Mall Shopping Centre can provide you with a great shopping experience and even allow you to get a good meal with its multiple restaurants and food court. The Prairie Mall undoubtedly is the closest and easiest way to kill time while waiting for your vehicle to finish at our Quick Lane.
It’s rare to consider visiting a hospital if you’re not sick or suffering an injury but the new state-of-the-art facility in Grande Prairie is one of a kind. Recently opened (2022) it is home to the North region’s greatest hospital and is just steps away from our Quick Lane. If touring inside the hospital isn’t something you want to do you can simply enjoy the walking paths next to it as they will lead you around the Bear Creek Reservoir and around Northwestern Polytechnic College.
Crystal Lake Park is one of Grande Prairie’s most beloved parks and for good reason. With a playground, walking paths, and a great place to overlook the water there is plenty of open space and is perfect for anyone who wants to spend some time outdoors.
As mentioned the park also has a beautiful walking path that goes around the entire perimeter of Crystal Lake making it perfect for a leisurely stroll that may just provide enough time for you to kill while waiting for your vehicle to finish at our Quick Lane.

Bear Creek Golf Course is home to an 18-hole course and is perfect for any skill level. They also have a driving range if you just want to hit a few balls and work on your swing and a restaurant if you just simply want to enjoy a bite to eat.
